Travel Tips
- Gibraltar is a British Overseas Territory
- British Pounds are also accepted. Any unused currency should be exchanged before leaving
- Mains water in hotels and towns is safe to drink, but bottled water may be preferable
- Mediterranean Climate. March – May (Spring) and August – September (Autumn) are the best times for warm weather and off-season rates. Winters are mild
- If travelling by road from Spain, there are often delays and long queues at the border. It is better to leave your vehicle in Spain and walk to Gibraltar. Beware of fraudsters selling “tickets” to get into Gibraltar at the border – there is no such thing
