Ellmau is a traditional ski village set against the Wilder Kaiser mountains, and is a popular ski resort for families.
The village is connected to the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser – Brixental ski area, the largest in Austria, which means that a variety of excellent ski runs are closeby, should the runs at Ellmau not satisfy.
