World Travel’s international rail department was established about forty years ago to assist travellers from South Africa with their international rail bookings in Europe, the UK, Canada, and Australia.
At the time, European railway authorities became aware that World Travel staff had exceptionally extensive knowledge of railway travel and, as a result, appointed the company as their South African representative. In the years that followed, World Travel has assisted hundreds of thousands of South African travellers in the planning of their international rail itineraries. In doing so, the consultants in the international rail department have developed their specialist knowledge further and World Travel is now the acknowledged local market leader in the sales of international rail products.
World Travel has a very comprehensive portfolio of international rail products that include Eurail, Eurostar, all the European national railways, VIA Rail Canada, Amtrak, various luxury trains of the world and Swiss rail tours.
