Pilanesberg National Park

Pilanesberg National Park accommodates virtually every mammal of southern Africa, including the Big 5. There are healthy populations of lion, leopard, black and white rhino, buffalo and elephant, as well as a wide variety of rare and common species, including the nocturnal brown hyena, cheetah, sable, giraffe, zebra, hippo and even crocodile. Birdwatching is also excellent, with over 300 species recorded.

There are nearly 200 kilometres of excellent quality roads for either self drive or guided game drives with professional Park guides. Numerous hides and picnic sites add to the enjoyment of this wildlife experience.

There are numerous place to stay in the Park, form upmarket lodges to caravan parks and campsites. The Sun City complex is also on the doorstep.
