Alfa Pendular High-Speed Train
The Portuguese Alfa Pendular train connects all of the major cities in Portugal.
Alfa Pendular trains run on the following routes:
• Braga - Porto
• Porto - Coimbra
• Coimbra - Lisbon
• Lisbon - Faro
You can use your Eurail pass to travel on Alfa Pendular trains. Pass holders are required to make an advance mandatory reservation, which costs 5 euros for both 1st and 2nd class.
Reservations on the Alfa Pendular high-speed trains are mandatory. Reservations can only be made in Portugal at the Train Station.
