The Snälltåget night train departs from Malmö via Stockholm to the winter destination Åre.
The three different skiing areas (Åre Björnen, Åre village and Duved) offers something for everyone – varied skiing with everything from beginner and children’s slopes to more challenging ones.
Timetable: the train runs from Christmas (late December) until Easter.
Malmö - Stockholm - Åre: Departs from Malmö and Stockholm on Wednesdays and Saturdays
Åre - Stockholm - Malmö: Departs from Åre on Thursdays and Sundays
Sleeping on the train: You travel in a compartment with three berths on each side of the compartment, so there are six couchettes in each compartment. There are 4 different comfort levels.
