The Amtrak "Sunset limited" train runs along the Mexican border from New Orleans to Los Angeles (via Houston). Three trains depart weekly in each direction. Services on the "Sunset Limited" include Superliner Sleeping and Dining Car accommodations and spectacular views from the renowned Sightseer Lounge Car. A regular intercity is also available to go to San Diego from Los Angeles.
