THE BRITISH OVERSEAS TERRITORIES: Citizens of the scattered islands that make up British Overseas Territories have full British citizenship and residence within the UK. The 14 British Overseas Territories are:
BRITISH COMMONWEALTH / COMMONWEALTH OF NATIONS The Commonwealth is a voluntary organisation made up mostly of former British colonies. Some states may give preferrential treatment to citizens of fellow member states. Other states make no distinction in its treatment of foreign citizens between member and non-member states. Visa Requirements
NOTES:
- All applicants travelling to the overseas territories will be charged for the reason of their travel (visit, transit,settlement etc) as well as an additional Handling fee. EG if the applicant is going to any of the overseas territories for a visit they will pay the visit fee of R799.00 + the Handling fee (overseas territories) of R564.00.
- Visiting the British Overseas Territories: All UK Missions that issue visas also issue visas for the Overseas Territories.
- Not all Territories have a website, however, you can contact your nearest British mission overseas for further information about visa requirements for the Territories.
- Immigration authorities in the Overseas Territories issue visas for the United Kingdom, other Overseas Territories and some independent Commonwealth countries.
REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid Passport - at present preferably valid 6 months beyond intended stay.
• Any and all documentation available - proof of funds, itinerary, etc. In the case of business applications, a letter from employer.

Visas for all British Overseas Territories are processed by the British High Commission in Pretoria and NOT by the Department of Home Affairs.
